About This Place

Saint Martin's Island is a small coral island in the northeastern part of the Bay of Bengal, about 9 km south of the tip of the Cox's Bazar-Teknaf peninsula. Known locally as Narikel Jinjira (Coconut Island), it is the only coral island in Bangladesh. The island is famous for its crystal-clear blue water, coconut groves, and relaxed atmosphere.
